The guys party it up in NYC despite Vince getting fired, and thanks to a tip from Rita Chase (Mercedes Ruehl), E tries to get Gus Van Sant to cast Vince in a role, but Van Sant won’t let him audition, leading to a confrontation between Vince and Eric in which Vince fires Eric. Meanwhile, Vince reconnects with his high school sweetheart and Drama considers an investment opportunity. Turtle’s secret relationship with Jamie-Lynn Sigler is ultimately revealed to the rest of the boys. In the end, Ari comes to see Vince, to tell him that Martin Scorsese saw his Smoke Jumpers footage, and wants to cast him in his modern day take on the Great Gatsby. Vince returns to California to apologize to Eric and re-hires him as his manager. A cameo from Michael Phelps.

Despite Vince killing himself to film a pivotal scene for “Smokejumpers,” Verner - who never wanted him in the first place - fires him from the movie, which forces Ari and Dana Gordon to bring the uncompromising director in line. After receiving an unexpected call from Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Turtle goes back to L.A. to spend the day with her. While he doesn’t reveal his encounter to the guys, he does tell Jamie-Lynn a well-kept secret.
Seth Green is back. Vince confronts Smokejumpers’ director, Verner. Lloyd and Ari give Andrew Klein a makeover.
Vince and the crew get to work on the set of the new movie “Smoke Jumpers”. Meanwhile, Ari looks to make a new investment with an old friend.
Turtle scores a first class seat next to the star of a now finished HBO series, and makes a mile-high claim to the guys; Josh Weinstein courts Vince whilst Ari is distracted.
