About this Android app
This policy covers TiviTune for Android TV and Google TV (com.tivitune.app). It does not replace the separate Windows privacy policy.
TiviTune is a player for content you are authorized to access. You supply your own playlists or provider account. The app does not supply channels, films, series or subscriptions, and there is no TiviTune account.
The Android app has no advertising, developer analytics, automatic crash-report upload or developer-operated app backend. A provider account belongs to your chosen provider, not to TiviTune.
Information kept on your TV
The app keeps playlist addresses, provider login details, optional User-Agent settings and source preferences in its private storage. It also stores imported channel, movie and series information, programme guides, cached details, favorites, viewing history, resume positions and local appearance, browsing and update settings.
Provider login details and sensitive source records, favorites, guide records, viewing history and resume data have additional app-level encryption with keys protected by Android Keystore. Some catalogue metadata, including searchable titles and provider artwork links, is stored in app-private storage without additional app-level encryption. The whole library is not encrypted. These protections do not guarantee safety on a rooted or otherwise compromised device.
The app excludes its device-bound library data from Android cloud backup and device transfer. There is no portable backup or cloud synchronization feature. Uninstalling can permanently remove the library and its local keys; device-level behavior is controlled by Android and your device manufacturer.
Connections to your chosen services
TiviTune connects to providers, playlist servers, guide servers, media servers and artwork hosts that you choose or that your selected sources reference. Requests authenticate to a provider, import or update a library, obtain guide and title details, load series or episode information, fetch artwork and play media. Playback can also request child playlists, segments, keys and related media resources.
Your provider receives the account details needed for authentication. Each server contacted can see your IP address, the requested resource, request timing and the User-Agent used for that source. Addresses can themselves contain provider credentials or identifiers. Media requests can reveal the stream you selected to the server serving it. These are source requests, not uploads to a TiviTune analytics backend.
For eligible Xtream sources, the app can set up the provider programme guide and refresh it while the app is open. Optional automatic playlist updates default to Off and can be enabled in settings. A user-started import can continue as a foreground task after you leave its page or press Home, with non-sensitive progress and cancellation controls.
When artwork is enabled for a playlist, the app requests images from the supplied artwork hosts. Turning artwork off cancels its artwork requests and clears the memory cache. The app does not send your library to a separate recommendation or metadata service.
Providers and other selected hosts have their own terms, privacy practices and retention periods. TiviTune does not control their processing or promise that they delete their records when you remove local app data.
Connection security
HTTPS connections use normal TLS with the platform certificate and hostname checks. The app also supports explicitly user-selected HTTP sources and resources referenced by them. HTTP traffic is not encrypted in transit and can expose source addresses, credentials and content to others on the network.
Prefer HTTPS whenever your provider supports it. Local encryption on your TV does not encrypt an HTTP connection. TiviTune is not a VPN and does not make your requests anonymous.
Your controls and local deletion
You can edit or remove playlists, choose whether to load their artwork, manage guide sources and configure optional playlist updates. Viewing-history controls let you pause remembering what you watch and clear saved history. Removing a playlist removes its source-owned library information from the app.
You can clear app data or uninstall TiviTune through your TV settings. We cannot remotely access or erase a library stored only on your device. Local source removal, history clearing, clearing app data and uninstalling do not close your provider account or delete records an independent provider already holds. Contact that provider about its records.
Local diagnostic messages are limited to fixed error codes and operational counts or timings, not raw provider credentials or source addresses. TiviTune does not automatically upload those diagnostics.
This website and voluntary support messages
Visiting this page is separate from using the Android app. The website is hosted on Microsoft Azure App Service. Its hosting infrastructure processes network and request information, such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser information and request times, to deliver and secure the website. Operational logs may be retained for troubleshooting, security and hosting obligations; this is not developer analytics inside the Android app.
This policy page has no analytics scripts, advertising cookies, third-party video embeds or remotely loaded fonts, and does not save a browser preference. Other pages on this website can save a manually selected language in browser local storage. Clear site data to remove those website preferences; this does not clear your Android library.
If you email us, the publisher and the email service process the email address, message, attachments and correspondence you choose to send so we can respond. Do not send provider passwords, private playlist links or unredacted screenshots of a personal library. Support does not automatically receive your app library or viewing history.
For questions about website or support-data retention, or to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us, use the privacy contact below. Applicable legal or security obligations may limit deletion. This does not give us access to your device-local library or control over records held by your providers, Google Play or other independent services.
Privacy contact and policy changes
Contact the publisher using the privacy address below about this policy or information you have sent us. Use the support address for app help.
When the app data practices change, we will update this policy at this URL and revise its effective date. This Android policy does not change the separate Windows policy or the terms and policies of your chosen providers or app store.
